Many new fathers watch their wives pack a diaper bag for outings with the baby. It seems to them that babies require an enormous amount of equipment simply to take a ride to the store for a few minutes. This is in addition to the crib, changing table, baby swing, infant carrier, playpen and other larger equipment that is left at home and the car seat left in the car.
New fathers find out soon enough how much is really needed when taking a baby anywhere. Mothers are given check lists while few people but the baby’s mother will help the father determine what is need. This is where father’s advice comes in handy.
Father’s advice can help new fathers with thing such as at to pack in a diaper bag. This way the father can feel more a part of the child care process while at the same time relieving the mother of a chore. Many new dads would do more for their new son or daughter if they just had somewhere to turn.
Asking their wives about every detail implies the mother is in charge of the baby,when in reality, both parents have an equal responsibility to care for their new baby. Men need a recourse to turn to for advice and support that will help them accept responsibility for their new baby with confidence.
